I am an aspiring photographer living in a small town mostly full of people who never venture too far from home. We have a couple of photographers here but they are either self taught and not really good or too pricey for anyone to afford. I have a canon Rebel XTi and photoshop 5.0. I want to start a small business and specialize in outdoor photography until I can afford a studio. There are not photography classes offered at the local college and because of my family I cannot take classes anywhere else. What would be the best method of learning the ropes of photography, and I mean everything lighting and setting and editing. I have read the books that came with my camera and program. I have also looked up alot online. I can take decent photos, but I want the education to be able to do better. Should I find and online school or are self taught photographer ok if they have the right info?
so basically i am 16 currently at sixth form and decided a few years ago i wanted to go into the fitness industry such as in a gym helping people use the equipment etc.
i was just wondering where would i start to become one? i was trying to get on a government funded course with lifestyle but as im in education they would not fund it as they put money into colleges to do the course.
do you think i should ring back and mention if i get onto the course i will drop out of college (to be honest i hate going there) or should i try somewhere else.
i have no current qualifications towards this at the moment, but will be doing a first aid course very soon.
